LOS ANGELES – Today, FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, revealed its new stars-and-striped powered commercial for this summer’s thrilling tournament that will see the United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) compete for a chance at history in winning a third-consecutive title.
The network’s promo features a collection of USWNT superstars including Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Rose Lavelle, Crystal Dunn and Naomi Girma. Additionally, FOX Sports’ newest soccer analyst and co-captain of the champion 2019 USWNT, Carli Lloyd, makes a cameo appearance along with FOX Sports host Rob Stone and Aly Wagner, the network’s lead match analyst for the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ and a USWNT legend across 131 international appearances.

The humorous commercial, titled “USA vs. The World,” opens with the biggest question on everyone’s mind ahead of the anticipated tournament, “What’s it going to take to stop this U.S. team?” Rival soccer fans from around the world plot and scheme with ideas on how to take down the most dominant team in the history of the sport, from canceling their flights to traveling back in time to prevent them from ever playing.
The USWNT has proven they are a powerhouse force in the global arena, leaving fans of the sport stunned at their unrivaled capabilities. Appearing in their ninth FIFA Women’s World Cup™ and having secured two back-to-back titles, the USWNT prepares to embark on an unprecedented three-peat as the world watches in anticipation and can only imagine how to rise to the challenge.
“USA vs. The World” makes its broadcast television premiere Saturday, June 10, in FOX Sports’ presentations of the 155th running of the Belmont Stakes (4:00-7:30 PM ET) and BASEBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA featuring Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs vs. San Francisco Giants (7:30 PM ET) on FOX.
“USA vs. The World” was created in-house by FOX Sports Marketing and led by Creative Director Gary Van Dzura who also directed the spot. Matt Van Buren serves as Executive Producer along with Autumn Durald Arkapaw as Director of Photography (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”). The commercial features The Donnas’ cover of Billy Idol’s classic hit “Dancing with Myself.”
